Glen R Swift

Glenn R. Swift is an award-winning writer, editor, college professor, public speaker, political pundit, talk-radio co-host and corporate communications/advertising consultant based in Newport Beach -- one of Southern California's most beautiful and culturally vibrant communities. Known for a colorful, insightful, easy-to-read style, Glenn was the honored recipient of the Florida Magazine Association’s 1999 Bronze Award for Writing Excellence. Since that time, he has had numerous articles published on a wide variety of subjects in newspapers, magazines, and on the Internet. Whether it is a historical article, book review, profile/interview or vacation getaway, publishers and editors can be assured of a clean-copy work product, command of grammar/punctuation and strict adherence to deadlines.

The son of a former senior British government official, Glenn is a dual citizen/passport holder of the United States and United Kingdom. He possesses a strong general knowledge of history, geography, culture, business, current events and politics. A passionate liberal, Glenn appears frequently as the "Voice of the Left” on the Rhett Palmer Live radio talk-show, which airs weekday mornings on WAXE 1370 AM on Florida’s Treasure Coast. His syndicated "Voice of the Left" column appears regularly on the 21 affiliated websites of the Los Angeles-based American Chronicle, in the Melbourne, Florida-based Space Coast Chronicle, and in The Local Buzz -- a monthly A & E publication based in Port St. Lucie, Florida with which Glenn also serves as Editor in Chief.

Glenn's full-time focus is serving as Managing Editor of Kettley Publishing -- the nation's leading software and web services publisher for the financial services industry. He coordinates the entire editorial process in addition to supervising new product development for the Newport Beach, California-based firm. Many of Kettley's clients are some of the leading financial services companies in the country.

Apart from his duties as an editor and journalist, Glenn frequently serves as an adjunct professor/guest lecturer at a number of colleges and cultural institutions. A long-time member of the Cassell Network of Writers and the Florida Freelance Writers Association, Glenn is also actively involved with a number of progressive organizations, including the Indian River County Democrats and the Space Coast Progressive Alliance.
